How to make extra money on the internet even in your spare time
About 49.3% of you will not know what I am talking about. So to get up to
speed consider taking a look at the previous newsletter before going further
For the 50.7% who do know what I'm talking about I think you will find the
following very interesting.
150 people were sent the newsletter last week with the "request to help
message" in it.
Some 4 days after sending out the newsletter 41 people had opened the
newsletter ... I cannot say read it ... I only know that it was opened by some
27% of recipients... In a later newsletter I will let you know how I can tell
exactly how many people opened the email newsletter. I think you will agree that
this is important marketing information.
4 of those people who opened the newsletter did read it because they clicked
through to the form I mentioned and in fact completed the form. I do not know
who they were and have no means of finding out. It is irrelevant to me.
Those 4 people definitely received an insurance quote from Dial Direct. I
know this with certainty because Dial Direct paid SEOZA R200 for referring those
4 people to them via a simple form completed on the internet ... and they only
pay if the form was completed. This is called a lead in internet parlance.
As of today (7 days after sending) 76 people have opened last week's
newsletter (almost exactly 50%). I created other links on some other websites to
Dial Direct after the first 4 days so I do not know how many other newsletter
recipients completed the form.
Here is what I do know nevertheless ... and hopefully this will indicate to
you in an initial but meaningful way that the internet does work and that it is
possible to make money.
At this point in time, Friday June 11th, Dial Direct owe SEOZA R450 after 1
week of acting as a lead generator for them. This means 9 people in total have
completed the form because every completed form or lead brings in R50 for Seoza.
All we had to do was bring to the attention of people who see our web site or
our newsletter the information about Dial Direct. We did not have to do any
actual selling or quoting ourselves.
R450 exceeds a year's total hosting fees for the SEOZA domain (see below).
Any money that this single income source brings in for next 11 months is pure
100% profit. Now just imagine if you had 2, 3, 20, or 100 and more such
opportunities. In fact there are thousands of such opportunities on the
internet.
This type of internet marketing is referred to as AFFILIATE MARKETING. Lots
of the world's top websites earning vast sums of money in fact belong to
affiliates.
Affiliate Marketing is only just starting in South Africa ... in fact I am
only aware of about 6 schemes. Dial Direct is one ... Dial Direct by the way is
an UK company now operating in South Africa and shaking up the "cosy" short term
insurance industry through which we are all getting ripped off .... if you want
to check and confirm how much you are being ripped off by then take a look at
the link on the right hand side.
We share these opportunities with our customers .. in fact we do far more we
show them how to make money from our knowledge. We help our customers to help
themselves.
Take a look at becoming a Dial Direct affiliate ... it takes a minute or so
to apply.
Are you overpaying for hosting and domain
registration? ... Hosting, Website Ownership and
Domain control are potential nightmares.
If you went to Ananzi today like I did to look for hosting and domain
services and you clicked on the number 1 spot you would have discovered the
following ...
This company offered 5 hosting packages to choose from called Micro, Basic,
Standard, Elite and Corporate ... now the usefulness of Micro and Basic to any
website owner is zero. Even the Standard is very low on features that are
essential to any web marketer.
Let's start with Standard anyway ... the cost is R120 per month (equivalent
to US$18.46). This hosting excludes a number of desirable features (cost is
extra) and provides data transfer capacity of 200MB per month (this is low and
any overuse costs R1.00 per MB ... this is an extortionate rate. I did not look
at the fine print which may limit a daily download capability).
The Corporate rate which is what you and I would want is R400 per month
(equivalent to US$61.53 per month).
By the way the Elite was R220 per month or US$33.84 per month and would
perhaps be a good compromise between cost and function.
The Interesting Money Saving Bit .....
How is it possible that I can buy a far better package from numerous
companies that reside in the USA or for that matter many other countries for
about 13% of the Corporate rate?... And the package is better.
I cannot answer my own question but I do know that these South African rates
are way over the top and are a deterrent to serious internet development in
South Africa in which I have an interest, as you do too, and these hosting
companies warrant the criticism I am leveling. I do believe they are preying on
ignorance within our developing web world.
What I do know is we can show you where you can get top notch packages for
less than $10.00 per month all backed by money back guarantees.
In SEOZA we are intent upon raising the level of debate so that we can all
benefit.
In position number 2 on Ananzi was a company that offered hosting that I
could just about use for R99 per month (US$15.23). Payment was by debit order...
ever tried to stop a debit order? With all the different hosts I use I pay by
credit card which means control of payment is in my hands not the host
company's. This same company charged R300 for a domain registration (US$46.13).
You should never be prepared to pay more than US$11.00 (about R72) for a domain
registration and also one that gives you complete control over the DNS.
We will soon show you how to do this too.
In fact YOU NEVER SHOULD REGISTER YOUR DOMAIN WITH YOUR HOSTING COMPANY ....
NEVER. AND YOU SHOULD NEVER HOST YOUR DOMAIN WITH YOUR REGISTRAR AND YOU SHOULD
NEVER TAKE UP A FREE WEB SITE OFFER EITHER.
Do yourself a favour ... check what you are paying for your hosting and
domain registrations and then consider the check list below. We will supply more
information for your benefit next week.
Are you using a free domain registration? If so get
confirmation from the registrar that YOUR name and email address
is shown as the contact/administrator/owner.
Ever asked yourself what would happen to YOUR website if you
decided to change hosting companies because they were
overcharging you or giving bad service?
Ever asked yourself the question ... how do you change to a
different domain registrar because it would save YOU money?
Ever asked how YOU get access to your free website you have
spent 2 years working on if you decide you don't like the
service any more or what would happen if the host went bang?
Ever thought why it may not be a good idea to host 2 web
sites with the same host?
These are vitally important questions to resolve before developing your web
site further or even starting a website.
