NEW May 2011 Critical Adwords Changes: Google made critical changes to PPC search results. These changes make traditional Adwords management techniques & strategies far less effective than in the past. While still critical it is no longer good enough to focus on CTR (click through rate). South African Affiliate Scheme... Traffic Synergy & ZA Offer Forge
I have only ever worked with 2 (don't even know if there are
more). In general I have found them to be limited mainly because
there was a lack of CSV feeds.
It's a matter of time before affiliate schemes take off in a big
way in South Africa. Now's a good time to get on board and to
stay informed even if you don't actually promote programs yet.
Here are the two schemes I have been associated with in a small way for quite some time.
1.
Traffic Synergy ... based in Cape Town. They run many South
African and international affiliate schemes and at present have
about 5 affiliate merchants who publish feeds and 6 merchants
who pay per click including Dial Direct and 1Life
2.
ZA Offer Forge ... to best of my knowledge this was the very
first affiliate scheme offered in South Africa and I first joined in
2002 or thereabout. They promote about 30 CPA (cost per action...
mainly lead generation) and 3 cost per clicks campaigns as well as
about 33 cost per sale programs.
They provide 3 merchants with product feeds.
Of the two I have found
Traffic Synergy to be far more responsive to queries and more
helpful in general. They also communicate far better than their
competitor in terms of alerting affiliates to new programs etc.
It's free to join these schemes so if you want to try out some
local affiliate programs the above are a good place to start.
Like everything else in life ... the harder you work at
affiliate schemes the more success you will have.
