The Power of Unsolicited Testimonials
Probably the best ad for any product is a recommendation from someone who has
used the product and is prepared to tell the truth.
Testimonials are not just about extracting the good "bits" and discarding the
ones that are not so flattering.
I got what I consider to be an excellent testimonial totally unsolicited from
Andries a few days ago because it is a review rather than a simple testimonial
and it tells it exactly as Andries saw his purchase.. I have reproduced it in
its entirety...
You will see workshop
testimonials
on my website and also on my Google Maps page...
The question is...do you collect honest reviews?
One of my favourites is for the Mercure Hotel where I hold my seminars and
the next workshop (learn More about the workshop on April 28th

By A TripAdvisor Member - 21 Dec 2009
The rooms did not have clocks!! We had no idea what time it was. We asked for a

ready still seemed dark out so called the lobby and found out it was around 3am.

FEEDBACK ON TOOLKIT #1
Firstly I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. They are well written, easy to
follow. Concepts are explained at a high level, then nicely drilled down to
specific examples and relevant tools and techniques. Since I am quite a guru
(having promoted 8 different businesses over the past 5 years with adwords), I
already knew about 90-95% of the stuff in your general SEO/Adwords guide.
However the 5% that I didn't know (or had forgotten about), makes it worth the
$115 by itself (not to mention I got the full benefit of $100 google coupon, so
in effect it only cost me $15!).
On the local marketing side, my knowledge is quite sparse, and there I estimate
my knowledge level was not much more than 60%, so that is one that I'll
definitely be re-reading carefully.
I really thought that the Catalogue creator guide was going to be useless to me
since I don't really create product catalogs, however the advanced excel
techniques are worthwhile for any guru to know, and I'm sure I'll benefit from
this, either directly or by indirectly applying the knowledge to other things.
But more than anything, what value most is the fact that your entire knowledge
base and examples are tailored the local SA market, which is a perspective that
none of the international guru's can offer. It really used to feel like a really
lonely pursuit being a lone ranger adwords marketer here in SA.
Its really nice to know that I have someone with truly local applied expertise
in this field to call on locally.
Feel free to extract from this for endorsement purposes. (I'd prefer if you
don't use my full name though as I like staying a bit off the radar.)."
Best regards,
Andries
